Put some vintage flower pins on it, added some glass gems and beads....I want to use it as a bird house....so I am thinking of how I will do that. This cast helped me get from one place to another without hurting my ankle. This accident was no accident as it has helped me to slow down and be less independent....and I needed to learn that.

Jim's daughter got married....this explains his big smile. His daughter is Angela and she was a beautiful bride.
So far - they feel great...I still have to wear my air cast occasionally...as I am in transition from the air cast into the shoe and just learning how to walk with two feet again...something I have not done in three months. Wow - learning to walk again at fifty...hmmmm.....

What a great group of people to spend this special day with. We ate at Nitali's, an Italian restaurant in Butler, Pennsylvania. I was really blessed to have met them all.
We ate so much, laughed a lot, and learned a lot about each other. Just in this group there is a marathon runner, a violinist, a piano player, a lady who loves diamonds, a theatre actor, a woman who works with nuns, and a "Promise Keeper" man....everyone has a story and I am so glad to have gotten to know each one.

I can walk freely with just the air boot alone, but occasionally I still choose to support myself with a cane so I won't put too much pressure on my left foot too soon. What a journey this has been. The ankle injury has forced me to set aside my glass art for awhile. In fact this is the longest time I have gone without creating since I learned out to work with glass ten years ago. I remember when I first started I could not stop...I enjoyed it so much. In time - I will be creating again - this I do believe.
My faithful true blue friend for the last month - it was time to go. Thank you for protecting my ankle from myself. Curtis used his drill to get the cast off. I will freshen/dry this cast, maybe run some shoelaces up both sides somehow - and keep it to remind me....offfffffff what....

What a gaudy piece but I love it. Look at the dangling cd that I used as the label. Yeah - maybe hanging from the center would have been more "balanced" but there wasn't a place and did not want to put a hole in the antique frame. (purchased in Maumel, Arkansas). 
One of my favorite pieces from the show. Sells for $925.00. So much warm and bright energy comes from these colors. It is three feet wide and two and a half feet tall.
