This is me standing next to two really neat women. Candice, and Lisa. They and a few others are involved in an effort to bring the arts to a small town near central Oklahoma.
This is the second year that this event has come. Several artists display their art for sale, and 20% of the proceeds go to the Tecumseh High School Art Department.
Schools are challenged with the price of gas, and unfortunately, art programs are the first to go.
This has bothered me, but it is the way it is. I always felt that art was an avenue that could reach out to kids who might not fit into the typical role as a student in public schools. Let's keep art alive in Tecumseh!!!
Opening reception is July 23rd at T & T Florist, owned by Lisa.
Downtown Tecumseh...(there is only one stoplight, so you can probably find this easily!) I am displaying four pieces pieces total. If you are interested in buying a smaller piece, I can ship those to you. The first one is called,"Daisy Maze" for $85.00, the large middle one is called, "See, Hear, Feel" for $950.00 and the third is called, "Having Fun", sales for $100.00.
