I took a shot of this lamp with the candle inside. Can you see how the designs danced up on the wall behind it?
These are pictures of the lamp in daylight. Scultped lamps take a lot of time and thought because you are designing and scultping at the same time. All the pieces must be placed in a way to create a unique design, yet give the lamp balance and weight in the right places.
This lamp would look beautiful on a desk in an office, or on a bookshelf. You can also put a string of clear lights up underneath (which I will do when it is displayed). This gives the piece more color, reflection and energy.
2013 will mark my 13th year working with glass. My third year in painting. I push the envelope as far as what I can create with both mediums. Good things happen when glass breaks or mistakes happen...from there more is beautifully and meaningfully revealed.
