Beginning with the darkest shade of amber....

Lots of amber needed to be in the base layer of this design to create the main color hue the customer is wanting.  However one must be careful to not use too much of the base color or make the shapes too big because the overall look would be too heavy and the design might appear too dark. 
You can see the seven geodes and nodules that will be in the window designs. These were purchased at a Rock and Mineral Show in Anderson, California.  In the photos - you can see how I am trying to connect the different shapes in the center so your eye will smoothly follow the design into the next window.   It was important for me to work on these windows simultaneously, working from left to right.
