This piece was inspired from "Crystal Catherdral" a slender rectangular pattern of different textures, and lengths fit within nine window panes. In my typical rebellious style the pieces form a pattern but are not exact. This frame was leaned up against my bedroom window, (thus the dark band across the top). It will be a featured piece in the IYE Gallery in Oklahoma City where it will be hung in one of their huge front windows. Pictures will be added to the blog tommorrow showing this. See more details below as to how this was made. It is very dynamic, unusual and non-traditional, but it works!!! Pictures just don't do it justice!
2013 will mark my 13th year working with glass. My third year in painting. I push the envelope as far as what I can create with both mediums. Good things happen when glass breaks or mistakes happen...from there more is beautifully and meaningfully revealed.
